Breed: Ms. Linda Clark
American Bouvier des Flandres Club
From 1979 to 2013, I worked full time as a RVT, groomer and rescue volunteer for a local shelter picking up injured dogs and cats, all the while handling dogs professionally for others on the weekends. In 1979 I purchased a Shetland Sheepdog puppy to be my first show dog. At that time, I also began handling several friends’ dogs, which I finished prior to finishing my own German Shepherd Dog in 1983. I have since finished many dogs of all types of breeds, including a “Best in Show” with a Bullmastiff from the classes. I have hundreds of group wins, national specialty wins and placements with over one hundred “Best in Shows”. My most memorable win was winning the Hound Group at Westminster in 2002 with a Rhodesian Ridgeback. I also had the honor of campaigning the greatest winning Vizsla of all time to date, “Konner”. In 2001, I proudly became one of the first licensed (number 4) American Kennel Club registered handlers and a member of the Professional Handlers Association.
I am a current Board Member of the DJAA judging organization and am honored to be a long time member of the ADSJ. I also have membership in the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, the German Shepherd Dog Club of Greater Tulsa, Inc. (for which I am an AKC Ambassador), the Mid-Continent KC (from which I was awarded the 2017 AKC Good Sportsmanship Award), the Greater Tulsa Non-Sporting Dog Club (founding member), the American Bouvier des Flandres Club, the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of the United States, Morris and Essex and of the National Beagle Club. I am a Breeder of Merit of both Beagles and German Shepherds. I take great pride in health testing and obtaining CHIC certifications on my dogs. I have bred quality dogs many of which have become AKC Group Winners, Champions and Grand Champions in the US, and several have become International Champions in other countries. For the last 40 years, I have been pursuing an education on all breeds of dogs. Since retiring from Professional Handling in June of 2012, I have become a licensed AKC judge. I currently am approved for all AKC herding breeds, the Herding Group, three Sporting breeds, two Hound breeds, four Working breeds, Miscellaneous conformation breeds, Junior Handling and Best in Show. |
