AKC DNA Profile
A DNA profile is required for stud dogs whose semen is collected for new or frozen use. Profiling is also necessary for frequently used sires, effective for litters whelped on or after July 1, 2000, and for imported breeding stock registered on or after March 1, 2006. This profiling is also used for sires, dams and puppies for multiple-sire litter registration. Breeders, please sign up for this test.
Cost: AKC DNA Profiling (cheek swabs) $40
